Description, therapeutic skills, etc. :

I provide a warm, accepting and empathetic atmosphere that facilitates sharing. I act as a guide to help you discover new perspectives and solutions. I am trained to help with depression, anxiety/stress, adapting to new situations and cultures, loss or grief, relationship problems, managing game or screen addiction, and parenting/family issues. I can help if you have had a very traumatic event recently or in the past that keeps coming into your head. I understand that life can be full of all kinds of challenges. Coming from Scotland and being an expatriate here, I can empathise with the difficulties you may have adapting to a new culture or country.

With a background in education, I also offer psychoeducational and cognitive assessments with children, adolescents, and adults. I can work with parents to provide them with strategies to help with their child’s behaviour at home and at school. I also have a diploma in early childhood development and education as awarded by the Association Montessori Internationale.

I offer Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, which is normally a short-term therapy. It helps you to learn skills and techniques that will help you with your current situation. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy can help you to change your thoughts and behaviours, especially in relation to difficult or problematic situations. Collaboration and commitment are key to our relationship. With your input, CBT will help you to focus on your present difficulties. I will help you to develop new strategies and techniques that will help you with your present difficulties and that you can also use on your own in the future.
